T-Mobile today displayed the redesigned Shadow (2009), an upgrade of its original Shadow slider featuring HotSpot calling over Wi-Fi networks.
The new Shadow has a faster 260mhz processor and provides mobile coverage and unlimited calling from Wi-Fi networks or T-Mobile Unlimited HotSpot Calling service.
The handset has a spin navigation wheel and slide-out QWERTY-like keypad with predictive text for quick and easy messaging. It combines hardware and software so consumers can access email and instant messaging with just one click and share music or photos from the myFaves home screen.
Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, users can easily sync the Shadow with Microsoft Outlook on a PC and view and edit Microsoft Office document directly on the handset.
The Shadow has a large 1.6-inch QVGA display. A built-in 2.0-megapixel camera captures photos and videos. Integrated with popular chat clients, users can chat on AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger.
The T-Mobile Shadow will be available in the coming weeks at stores and online.
